PRTM 8340 - Contemporary Issues in Sport

3 Credits (3 Contact Hours)
In this seminar, students explore, investigate, and critically analyze the links between many of the major issues facing sport organizations in various societies around the world (but particularly in North America). This seminar is designed to introduce students to the study of sport in society with a particular focus on and engagement with theories, concepts, practices, and research. Preq: Admission to the masters or doctoral program in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management or consent of instructor.
